A few more arrivals. Harbingers of spring?
Sightings Continue During the Winter Months
Journey North citizen scientists have sighted a few early hummingbird migrants who join resident hummingbirds at the feeder.
From Trinidad, CA: As Jim comments, "Our first two Rufous hummingbirds sharing a feeder with two resident Anna's hummingbirds. The Rufous had to battle their way into the feeders at first, but seem to be co-existing with the Anna's after a few battles." (02/19/2019)
From Baton Rouge, LA: Michka found a beauty at the backyard feeder, "Broad-billed Hummingbird was in our yard beginning on Sunday, February 10, 2019 until Saturday, February 16, 2019." (02/10/2019)
Journey North citizen scientists also captured hummingbirds in action.
From La Habra, CA: Watch this video posted by Robbie. (02/11/2019)
